I have handled the following multitasks positions during my 18 months with Hornibrook.
Project Manager
Managed the renovation of a 1 storey office complex with 14 men. Saved $200K. Managed the construction of a warehouse (648m2) for in-house machinery use. Reviewed structural plans submitted by both in-house and consulting engineers to verify compliance with the appropriate building code.
Contract Administration
Prepared tender documents for sub contractors to bid on Civil Works .
Responsible for preparation of monthly claims/ invoicing for more than 10 projects.
Responsible for procuring and expediting of materials to projects sites.
Handled issues of variation/ extra work and measurement of work done.
Provided QA to construction to meet specification of the contract.
Design Engineer
Reviewed road design drawings submitted by consulting engineers to verify compliance.
Coordinated with a survey firm to do topographic survey, the ground survey, and the control survey report for a corporate land development project.

Projects include construction of 6 wards for Government hospital, a 500 men Kitchen & Mess building for Oil Search Limited (OSL), construction of Cyanide Destruction Plant for Porgera Gold Mine, several office complexes and industrial buildings, and several extensions and renovations to warehouses. MORAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (OIL SEARCH LTD), PNG (Aug 06-Sep 07)
Site Manager (Feb 07-Sep 07)
Responsible for construction of 70 km road length (Homa-Tari Road) to link the Oil Plant site (Kutubu) with the Gas Plant site (Hides). The road is a section of the Proposed PNG-Queensland (Australia) Gas Pipeline Project.
Managed a workforce of 98 men on the construction site, a plant workshop, medic and a catering service.
Planned and developed the campsite to include emergency evacuation assembly areas.
Responsible for public relations in dealing with the locals on issues to ensure trouble free work environment.
Compiled weekly progress report to the client, Oil Search Limited, at site meetings.
Furnished briefs to client on the technical issues on the project.
Reviewed and drawn up catch up work programs.

Project Engineer (Aug 06-Jan 07)
Responsible for the design and selection of alternate routes onsite.
Designed and operated a 40,000 m3 limestone quarry to mine road base material. Responsible for the survey team to do Digital Terrain Modeling(DTM) on alternate routes and the survey control report .
Ensured correct road alignment, batters pegged, bench cuts controlled and disposal of spoilt to site Inspected ingress/egress locations, supervised construction of drainage systems, batter protection, soil erosion and sedimentation control .
Supervised the compaction and formation of the pavement for fall and super elevations.
Responsible for co-ordination of consulting geotechnical engineer to conduct site investigations and furnished feasibility study reports.
INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION LTD, PNG (April 06-July06)
Site Engineer
Responsible for inspection, supervision and QA on the construction of the industrial building to house 7 diesel generators (power plant).
Responsible for soil compaction tests, concrete slump and compression tests.
FUJITA CORPORATION LTD, PNG (April 2005-March 2006)
Construction Engineer
Managed the construction of 3 composite bridges.
Responsible for QA on Piling.
Supervised excavation and laying of gabion baskets as abutment protection structures.
Planned river training to allow excavation at the toes of abutment.
Coordinated with the surveyor in the setting out and exaction of the abutments. Planned and supervised the scaffolding and formworks on the abutments and decks.
Calculated haunch and deflection on the girders for form works for concrete. Responsible for QA on the assembling and installation of bridge components and tensioning of structural bolts.
Coordinated the crane with the lifting of bridge components.

Inspected and supervised construction of 200mm diameter UPVC& polythene pipe run of 200 meters .
Updated survey data of national Wau-Bulolo Road, by doing a control survey using GPS and Automated Levels ( Theodolite) for a private consultant.
